Devonian Fossil Arthropod Genera is a Browse By group of the Nature Atlas that gathers genera of extinct arthropods known from fossils of the Devonian period, such as the chelicerates Thurandina and Borchgrevinkium, the trilobite Maghroharpes and the early insect-like Strudiella. An entry belongs here when its own cited article states that the genus is an arthropod of the Devonian. It excludes fossils from other periods. The Devonian, about 419 to 359 million years ago, is the period when arthropods were spreading from the sea onto land, so these fossils record some of the earliest relatives of spiders, scorpions and insects and of the sea-living trilobites.
