Species everyday group sorts species using the plain, everyday names people already know, such as bears, cats or birds, rather than a formal taxonomic rank. Wikipedia describes the giant panda as "a bear species endemic to China," a familiar everyday group despite its unusual bamboo diet. This dimension lets a visitor browse by the common names they already use.
