Rosid families are the families of the rosids, a branch of the core eudicots that the Tree of Life divides into orders including Fagales, Cucurbitales, Rosales, Fabales, Zygophyllales, Oxalidales, Malpighiales, Celastrales, Geraniales, Myrtales, Brassicales, Malvales and Sapindales. By descendant taxa in the GBIF backbone the largest are Fabaceae in Fabales with about 40,779, Rosaceae in Rosales with about 21,486, Euphorbiaceae in Malpighiales with about 11,070, Myrtaceae in Myrtales with about 10,193 and Brassicaceae in Brassicales with about 8,607.
