All Gecko Genera

Gecko genera are the genera of the geckos, the lizard family Gekkonidae in its broad sense. Animal Diversity Web lists about 100 of them, from Aeluroscalabotes and Afroedura through Gekko, Hemidactylus, Lygodactylus, Pachydactylus and Phelsuma to Uroplatus. In the narrower family GBIF keeps under that name there are 72 ranked genera, and the biggest by descendant taxa are Cyrtodactylus with about 504, Hemidactylus with about 280, Cnemaspis with about 219, Phelsuma with about 135, Gekko with about 133 and Lygodactylus with about 127.
