The coast araucaria, also known by the French name sapin de Noel, is a conifer in the family Araucariaceae endemic to New Caledonia, where it grows in scattered subpopulations on ultramafic soils across humid forests, cliffs, and slopes. It forms a conical to pyramidal tree up to 40 meters tall with bark that peels to reveal a red exudate underneath. The IUCN Red List classifies it as Endangered, noting that none of its subpopulations lie within protected areas.
