Passiflora tarminiana is a species of passionfruit native to the uplands of tropical South America, now cultivated in many countries. Its yellow fruit resembles a small, straight banana, giving it the common name banana passionfruit in some countries and banana poka in Hawaii, and it carries various names such as curuba, taxo and tumbo across its Andean homeland. In Hawaii and New Zealand it is now considered an invasive species.
