Acasis viretata

Acasis viretata, known as the yellow-barred brindle, is a species of moth in the family Geometridae, first described by Jacob Hubner in 1799. It occurs across most of Europe and through the Palearctic to Korea, is present in North America, and in northern India is represented by the form Acasis viretata himalayica. The species lives in a wide range of habitats, including deciduous and mixed forests, rocky slopes and valleys, bushy meadows, bogs and taiga, and in the Alps it has been recorded at altitudes up to about 1,700 meters.
