Australian Lungfish, also known as the Queensland lungfish, is the only surviving member of the family Neoceratodontidae and one of just six extant lungfish species in the world. Endemic to Australia, it belongs to the class Sarcopterygii, the lobe-finned fishes, an ancient lineage.
