Bernier's columnar araucaria is a conifer species in the family Araucariaceae, endemic to New Caledonia, where it grows only at elevations below 700 meters, mostly in the southern part of the main island. It is a large tree that reaches 40 to 50 meters in height, though specimens growing in poor soils tend to stay smaller. The IUCN Red List classifies the species as Near Threatened, with fewer than 10,000 mature trees remaining in the wild and the population continuing to decline from habitat loss.
