The blue acara is a species of cichlid fish, scientifically Andinoacara pulcher, in the family Cichlidae and order Cichliformes. It has a bright blue-grey coloration across its body and is a freshwater species native to Trinidad and Venezuela, though it is also widely kept and sold for aquariums.
