Bluethroat

The bluethroat is a small passerine bird in the Old World flycatcher family. It is a migratory, insect-eating species that breeds in wet birch woodland or bushy swamp across Europe and the Palearctic, with an outpost in western Alaska, nesting in tussocks or low in dense bushes. It winters on the Iberian Peninsula, across the northern half of Africa, and in southern Asia, and along with similar small European flycatchers it is often called a chat.
