Colias erate, commonly known as the eastern pale clouded yellow, is a species of butterfly in the family Pieridae. It is found from southeastern Europe through Turkey and Central Asia to Japan and Taiwan, with its range extending south to Somalia and Ethiopia. The species was first described by Eugenius Johann Christoph Esper in 1805.
