The common dragonet, Callionymus lyra, is a species of dragonet widely distributed in the eastern North Atlantic, where it is common near Europe from Norway and Iceland southwards. It is a demersal fish that lives on sandy bottoms, can live about seven years, and is encountered both as commercial bycatch and in the aquarium trade.
