Cyclospora is a genus of single-celled apicomplexan parasites whose oocysts each contain two sporocysts holding two sporozoites apiece. Most species in the genus parasitize mammals, reptiles or arthropods, but the species Cyclospora cayetanensis infects humans and causes cyclosporiasis, a gastrointestinal illness.
