Echinocereus engelmannii, known as the strawberry hedgehog cactus or Engelmann hedgehog cactus, is a cactus commonly found in desert areas of the southwestern United States and adjacent areas of Mexico, including the states of California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Baja California and Sonora.
