Elfin Saddle, scientifically Helvella crispa and also called the fluted white elfin saddle, white saddle or common helvel, is an ascomycete fungus in the family Helvellaceae readily identified by its irregularly shaped whitish cap, fluted stem and fuzzy undersurface. It is found in eastern and western North America and in Europe, growing near deciduous trees in summer and autumn.
