Euphorbia obesa, sometimes called the baseball plant, is a subtropical succulent species of flowering plant in the genus Euphorbia, native to the arid Karoo region of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is listed on CITES Appendix II and is considered endangered in the wild because of over-collection, poaching, slow growth, and limited seed production, though it is widely cultivated in botanical gardens.
