Anobium punctatum, commonly known as the furniture beetle or common woodworm, is a species of woodboring beetle in the family Anobiidae. Its larvae tunnel through and feed on the sapwood of dead trees and, significantly, seasoned structural timber and furniture, making it one of the most economically damaging wood-pest insects in temperate regions, with infestation typically first noticed from the small round exit holes adults leave when emerging.
