Greater featherwort, Plagiochila asplenioides, is a robust leafy liverwort of the family Plagiochilaceae that forms large, conspicuous, rounded tufts in woodland, on hedgebanks and in ravines, occasionally also appearing in species-rich grassland. It is widespread across Europe, with populations recorded from Britain through Belgium and the Netherlands, and its bulky growth habit, with separate male and female plants, makes it one of the more readily recognized larger liverworts of shaded, humid ground.
