Gundlach's hawk is a species of bird of prey in the family Accipitridae. It was formerly placed in the genus Accipiter. It is one of twenty-one bird species endemic to Cuba. Its common name and Latin binomial commemorate the German-Cuban ornithologist Juan Cristobal Gundlach, who lived from 1810 to 1896. The species is threatened by habitat loss and human persecution.
