Hericium erinaceus, known by common names including lion's mane, yamabushitake, bearded tooth fungus and bearded hedgehog, is a species of tooth fungus. It typically grows as a single clump bearing dangling spines longer than a centimetre, a form that can cause it to be mistaken for other Hericium species growing in the same areas.
