Large-billed crow

The large-billed crow, formerly known widely as the jungle crow, is a widespread Asian species of crow. It is highly adaptable and can survive on a broad range of food sources, allowing it to colonize new areas, which has led it to be considered a nuisance, especially on islands. Its large bill gives rise to its scientific name macrorhynchos and the alternate common name thick-billed crow, and it can be mistaken for a common raven; the eastern and Indian jungle crows were once considered the same species under the jungle crow name.
