Mozambique Tilapia

The Mozambique tilapia is a dull-colored cichlid fish native to southeastern Africa that can live up to a decade in its native habitat and is popular in aquaculture. Human introductions have carried it to many tropical and subtropical regions worldwide, where its robust, adaptable nature makes it both a valued aquaculture species and, in many of those introduced habitats, an invasive one.
