Orchid Mantis, scientifically Hymenopus coronatus, is a species of flower mantis from the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, also known as the walking flower mantis or orchid-blossom mantis. It has evolved to mimic orchid flowers as a hunting and camouflaging strategy, moving with a swaying motion as though blown in the breeze while hiding in plain view among the blooms it uses to ambush pollinating insects.
