Paracanthostracion lindsayi, known as Lindsay's boxfish, is the only species in the monospecific genus Paracanthostracion, part of the boxfish family Ostraciidae. First named by Gilbert Percy Whitley in 1933, it is found in the south-western Pacific Ocean, known only from waters around New Zealand.
