Populus deltoides, known as the eastern cottonwood or necklace poplar, is a species of cottonwood poplar native to North America. It grows throughout the eastern, central and southwestern United States, the southern Canadian prairies, the southernmost part of eastern Canada, and northeastern Mexico.
