Ribbed bog-moss, also called bog groove-moss, Aulacomnium palustre, is a moss species with a nearly cosmopolitan distribution, found across North America, Europe, Asia and New Zealand. In North America it grows through the southern Arctic, subboreal and boreal zones from Alaska and British Columbia to Greenland and Quebec, with scattered, more localized populations reported further south, typically in wet bogs, fens and other saturated ground.
