The tangelo, Citrus x tangelo, is a citrus fruit hybrid between a mandarin-type Citrus reticulata variety, such as the mandarin orange or tangerine, and a Citrus maxima variety, such as the pomelo or grapefruit. Its name is a portmanteau of tangerine and pomelo.
