Triplochiton scleroxylon is a tree in the genus Triplochiton of the family Malvaceae, native to tropical West Africa. It is known by various regional names, including African whitewood and abachi, obeche in Nigeria, wawa in Ghana, ayous in Cameroon, and sambawawa in Ivory Coast. The tree is recognized as the official state tree of Ekiti State in Nigeria.
