Tundra swan

The tundra swan, Cygnus columbianus, is a species of swan in the family Anatidae that breeds in the Arctic and overwinters in North America, Europe, and Asia, with two recognized subspecies, Bewick's swan in Eurasia and the whistling swan in North America. It is the smallest of the Holarctic swans, measuring 115 to 150 centimeters long with a wingspan of 168 to 211 centimeters, and adults are entirely white with black feet and a mostly black bill marked with variable yellow and a pink line along the mouth. Unlike the mute swan it is migratory, and it forms monogamous pairs that mate for life while defending territories in the breeding season and gathering in social groups the rest of the year. It is listed as Least Concern.
