Wafer-lip liverwort, Porella platyphylla, is a leafy liverwort of the family Porellaceae with rounded leaf lobes and a flattened growth habit that closely hugs the bark or rock it grows on. It has a Holarctic distribution across Eurasia and North America, most abundant in northern and central Europe and Atlantic coastal regions, typically growing on tree bark and rock in forests that receive at least six hundred millimeters of rainfall a year.
