Tremella mesenterica, commonly called witch's butter, is a jelly fungus in the family Tremellaceae of the Agaricomycotina. Its gelatinous, orange-yellow fruiting body can grow up to about 7.5 centimeters across and has a convoluted, lobed surface that turns greasy or slimy to the touch when damp.
