The taxonomic orders of the plant kingdom, following the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group's APG IV classification that ITIS, GBIF and the Catalogue of Life all use for flowering plants, from the earliest-diverging lineages such as Amborellales and Nymphaeales through the largest orders such as Asterales, Fabales and Poales. Covers every order-rank taxon entity in this atlas identified by its own sourced description as a plant order, checked against APG IV placement rather than assumed from the family or genus names the order contains. Excludes the fungal orders, which despite some superficial naming similarity belong to an entirely separate kingdom and are grouped under Fungus Orders instead.
