Flavobacteriia is a class of environmental bacteria containing the family Flavobacteriaceae, the largest family within the phylum Bacteroidota. The class is widely distributed in soil, freshwater and seawater habitats. It is sometimes spelled Flavobacteria informally, but was formally named Flavobacteriia in 2012.
