Anomochilidae is a family of snakes containing a single genus, Anomochilus, with three species, known as dwarf pipesnakes or lesser pipesnakes. All three species live in Southeast Asia, in the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo, where they burrow through leaf litter in lowland and montane rainforest. They are small, cylindrical, blackish to purplish brown snakes with a dark underside and an orange-red band around the tail, and their reduced teeth restrict them to small, elongated prey. Unlike their other pipesnake relatives, dwarf pipesnakes lay eggs rather than bearing live young.
