Apidae is the largest family within the superfamily Apoidea, containing at least 5,700 species of bees, including bumblebees, honey bees, stingless bees, carpenter bees, orchid bees, cuckoo bees and other lesser known groups. These insects are crucial pollinators in both natural ecosystems and agricultural settings.
