Kateretidae, the short winged flower beetles, is a family of beetles in the superfamily Cucujoidea found worldwide except in New Zealand, with at least 40 described species across 10 living genera and 4 extinct ones. Adults feed on flowers while their larvae feed on pollen within flower structures, and the family, also known by the synonym Brachypteridae, has existed since the Barremian stage of the Early Cretaceous.
