Laemophloeidae, the lined flat bark beetles, is a family in the superfamily Cucujoidea with about 450 described species across 40 genera, found on every continent except Antarctica and most diverse in the tropics. These tiny, 1 to 5 millimeter beetles have dorso ventrally flattened bodies with ridged or grooved heads and pronota, and were historically classified as a subfamily of Cucujidae before being separated in the mid twentieth century. Most live under the bark of dead trees feeding on fungi, though a few Cryptolestes species are pests of stored grain.
