Mordellidae is a family of beetles in the order Coleoptera commonly known as tumbling flower beetles, for their irregular, tumbling escape movements, or pintail beetles, for their elongated abdominal tip. The family comprises about 1,500 species worldwide whose adults feed on flower pollen; it includes two living subfamilies, Mordellinae and Ctenidiinae, along with a third subfamily, Praemordellinae, known only from fossils.
