Xenophidiidae is a monotypic family of snakes containing the single genus Xenophidion, commonly known as spinejaw snakes. First described in 1995 by Gunther and Manthey and given family status in 1998 by Wallach and Gunther, the family comprises two species, Xenophidion acanthognathus and Xenophidion schaeferi, found in Borneo and peninsular Malaysia.
