Celastrales

Celastrales is an order of flowering plants found throughout tropical and subtropical regions with limited presence in temperate zones, comprising two families, Celastraceae and Lepidobotryaceae, with about 1,200 to 1,350 species across roughly 100 genera. All but seven of its genera belong to the dominant family Celastraceae. The order lacks a single distinctive identifying feature but is generally characterized by small flowers with a conspicuous nectary disk and seeds that often bear an aril.
