Geraniales is a small order of flowering plants in the rosid subclade of eudicots, comprising two families and 11 genera with about 830 species in total. Its largest family, Geraniaceae, contains more than 800 species including Geranium, Pelargonium, and Erodium, while the second family, Francoaceae, contains roughly 40 species including Francoa and Melianthus. Most members are herbaceous, though the order also includes some shrubs and small trees.
