Rosales is an order of flowering plants comprising about 7,700 species across nine families and roughly 260 genera. Well-known members include roses, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, apples, cherries, pears, plums, peaches and apricots, as well as elms, figs, mulberries, nettles and cannabis. Its two largest families are Rosaceae, the rose family, with 91 genera and 4,828 species, and Urticaceae, the nettle family, with 53 genera and 2,625 species; Rosaceae is the order's type family.
