Saxifragales is an order of flowering plants in the superrosid clade of the core eudicots, comprising about 15 families, around 100 genera, and nearly 2,500 species. Its namesake saxifrages share the order with peonies, currants, gooseberries, and jade plants, and its members range from trees and shrubs to herbaceous and aquatic species. The largest family, Crassulaceae, contains roughly 1,400 species of succulent plants.
