Common Frog (Rana temporaria)

Common Frog, also called the grass frog or European common frog, is a semi-aquatic amphibian of the family Ranidae found throughout much of Europe as far north as Scandinavia and as far east as the Urals, though largely absent from most of the Iberian Peninsula, southern Italy and the southern Balkans; it ranges as far west as Ireland and is also found across Asia eastward to Japan. The nominate subspecies, Rana temporaria temporaria, is a largely terrestrial frog distributed throughout northern Europe.
