Artemisia vulgaris, commonly known as mugwort or common mugwort, is a flowering plant in the daisy family Asteraceae, described by Carl Linnaeus in 1753. It is one of several Artemisia species that share the mugwort name, though it is the one most often called by that name specifically. The plant has long been used for both medicinal remedies and as a culinary herb.
