Bellis perennis, commonly called the daisy, is a European species in the family Asteraceae and is often treated as the archetypal plant associated with the name daisy. To distinguish it from other plants that also carry the common name daisy, it is sometimes specifically called the common daisy, lawn daisy or English daisy.
