Brown-headed gull

The brown-headed gull is a small gull that breeds on the high plateaus of central Asia from Tajikistan to Ordos in Inner Mongolia, and is migratory, wintering on the coasts and large inland lakes of the Indian subcontinent. It shows a pale brown head, lighter than that of a black-headed gull, a pale grey body, a red bill and legs, and white mirrors on its black wingtips; it loses its brown hood in winter. Its conservation status is Least Concern.
