Laetiporus sulphureus is a species of bracket fungus also known as sulphur polypore, sulphur shelf or chicken-of-the-woods. Its fruit bodies grow as striking golden-yellow shelf-like structures on tree trunks and branches, fading to pale beige or grey with age, and the underside of the fruit body is made up of tube-like pores rather than gills.
