The Chilean hawk is a species of bird of prey in the family Accipitridae. It was formerly placed in the genus Accipiter. It breeds in Andean forests from central Chile and western Argentina south to Tierra del Fuego, at elevations from sea level to 2,700 meters. Some individuals apparently winter in the lowlands of northwestern Argentina.
